Matt Fellows

Matt was born and raised in Glastonbury and was drawn to the world of Chinese Medicine over 20 years ago, whilst studying the arts of Tai Chi and Chi Gong. This naturally led him into acupuncture as it is based on the same ancient Chinese Daoist philosophy. After a 3 year degree in London he qualified with honours back in 2009. Since then he has continued to study and is continually in awe of the breadth and depth of Chinese Medicine. He has since gained a diploma in Tui Na massage and has continued to learn and refine the arts. Matt is qualified to the highest level and a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a branch of Chinese Medicine that dates back hundreds if not thousands of years. It works on the concept that there are pathways of energy that flow around the body, similarly to blood, but on a finer energetic level. The acupuncturist can access this energy at various acupuncture points via on the body.
A basic theory in acupuncture, is that pain is caused by a blockage to the flow of this energy. The acupuncturist seeks to release this blockage, via the needles and therefore alleviate the pain.

Esoteric Acupuncture

Esoteric acupuncture is a system designed to work on expanding and awakening a persons consciousness. It is not acupuncture for any particular physical problem, but is focused more on the level of the Spirit and the higher frequencies of the Heart.

Tui Na Massage

Tui Na is an ancient Chinese form of massage and manipulation. It utilises the same theory, points and meridians as an acupuncture treatment however no needles are involved. Instead techniques such as acupressure, rubbing, kneading and even 'the Chinese burn' are used to increase and balance the flow of energy or Chi through the body.
